Deepak Chahar suffers ankle injury; doubtful for 2nd & 3rd ODI against South Africa
The Indian cricket team pacer Deepak Chahar is injured again as per some reports. The pacer has twisted his ankle in training ahead of the first ODI game between India and South Africa which was played on 6th October, Thursday in Lucknow.
Indian team lost the first ODI and are currently trailing the series by 1-0 against South Africa. Deepak didn’t play in this game because of his injury. Earlier, captain Shikhar Dhawan didn’t mention that the Indian pacer Deepak Chahar was missing. Indian fans are hoping the ankle twist of Deepak Chahar is not a very big issue as the pacer is in the reserve players list in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
Deepak Chahar can also be selected in the World Cup squad as star Indian pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah got injured and BCCI is yet to announce his replacement. Mohammad Shami and Deepak has been considered as the most likely options. But due the injury concern, Deepak Chahar could also see himself out of this world cup squad.
Not only in the World Cup but the pacer is also doubtful for the 2nd and 3rd ODI against South Africa.
