Haaland score his 11th goal as City beat Wolves to go on top
English Premier League is back from a one-week break due to Queen’s death. The first game of the 7th matchweek was between Manchester City and Wolverhampton FC which was played on Saturday, 17th September at Molineux Stadium (Wolves home stadium).
Manchester City defeated Wolves by 3-0 and it was a total dominance by the defending champions against the host. Manchester City started with the Jack Grealish as the star English midfielder scored the goal in the opening minute of the game. City were leading Wolverhampton since the very first minute of the game. 15 minutes later, it was their main man again named Erling Haaland who scored and gave the 2-0 lead to the champion side.
This was Erling Haaland’s 11th goal in the League and this is just the 7th game for him. The game was sealed by Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden who scored his first and team’s third in the 69th minute. Wolverhampton tried hard but still they ended up with 0 goals. It was a disappointing result for the home side as the visitors were too rash on him. Manchester City are currently leading the Premier League’s points table with 17 points in 7 games.
