Hardik Pandya says “all good thing must end” after getting released by Mumbai Indians

Hardik Pandya, the Mumbai Indians allrounder, has expressed his heartfelt gratitude as he gets released by the 5-time champions ahead of the mega auction. The decisions came out on Tuesday night, and although the Mumbai Indians team retained four players, neither Hardik Pandya nor his brother were on the list.

Mumbai Indians retained their captain Rohit Sharma, star bowler Jasprit Bumrah, middle-order batsman Suryakumar Yadav and veteran allrounder Kieron Pollard.

After his snub from the team he has represented for so many years, Pandya went to social media to leave a heartfelt message for his team and fans alike. In his post, Pandya wrote, “I came here as a youngster with big dreams – we won together, we lost together, we fought together. Every moment with this team has a special place in my heart. They say all good things must end, but Mumbai Indians will remain in my heart forever.”

Hardik Pandya has played over 90 matches for Mumbai Indians and made 1476 runs at a strike rate of 153. While with the ball in hand, he has taken 42 wickets at a strike rate of 20.69. He won his first title with the team in his debut season and since then has been a part of 3 other title victories in the years 2017, 2019, and 2020.

Experts say that the snub has taken place due to his recent injury, which has affected his bowling. Popularly known as an allrounder, the injury has hampered his bowling skills, making him a one-dimensional player. Pandya was seen bowling in the recent matches and is expected to return to his full potential soon. Hence, he will be a player to watch out for in the auction.
