Ind vs SA: Washington Sundar replaces Deepak Chahar in the Indian squad
Indian spin bowler Washington Sundar has replaced the pacer Deepak Chahar in the Indian squad for the ongoing series against South Africa. The Indian cricket team is currently playing a 3-game ODI series against South Africa and are trailing by 1-0 after they lost the first match in Lucknow.
Indian cricket team then had another bad news to hear as their pacer Deepak Chahar who missed the first ODI due to ankle injury is ruled out of this series. Indian team lost a pacer and picked up a spinner as his replacement. Fans found this as a surprising pick. Washington Sundar was also out for few months due to his injury.
Despite India have added Washington Sundar in the their squad for this series but it seems the team will be going with the same playing XI as the first game. Deepak Chahar’s injury news may be harsh as BCCI was thinking of picking him up in the upcoming T20 World Cup squad in place of Jasprit Bumrah. Now, Mohammad Shami is the most likely option to replace injured Jasprit Bumrah in the World Cup squad.
