India retains the top spot in latest ICC T20I team rankings
Indian cricket team won the 3-match T20I series against Australia on Sunday, 25th September. With the victory in the last game of the series, India became the team to win most T20I games in the calender year. Rohit Sharma’s men were too amazing in this series.
With this victory, India retained their top spot in the latest ICC T20I team rankings. ICC revealed the new team rankings on Monday, 26th September following India’s series win against Australia by 2-1. India is on the top place like before with 268 rating points. India are above England who are seven points behind them. South Africa and Pakistan cricket team are on the same rating points (258). Pakistan cricket team are currently playing a 7-match T20I series against second placed England in home.
Indian team have seen a major improvement since Rohit Sharma has been made captain of the team. Rohit Sharma haven’t lost a single bilateral series as India’s full-time captain. This was Rohit Sharma’s 33rd win in T20Is as captain overtaking Virat Kohli (32).
