Inter edge past Barcelona to move to the second spot in the group of death

The UEFA Champions League is back and it’s back with a bang. The third matchweek of UEFA Champions League was full of goals. Inter Milan and FC Barcelona were up against each other in the UEFA Champions League third gameweek on Tuesday night, 4th October.

Inter Milan defeated FC Barcelona by 1-0 in this game despite this result wasn’t expected by the fans. Inter Milan played very well especially defensively as they didn’t let dominating Barcelona score a single goal in this game.

Barcelona had some amazing chances in the game to equalise or even win it but couldn’t add three points to their name. The first and the last goal of the game came just before the half-time whistle. Barcelona had 72% possession in the game, still they couldn’t score a goal. Xavi’s side did score a goal which was later ruled out due to hand-ball offence in the build-up.

The coach (Xavi) as well as the players were disappointed as they now moved to the third position in the group of death. Inter Milan has occupied the second position in the points table.
