Irfan Pathan wants Deepak Hooda to be India’s sixth bowling option

Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan had a interaction in Star Sports. The Hindi commentator has predicted team India’s playing XI for the upcoming T20 World Cup. He has also made some big statements ahead of the World Cup. Irfan Pathan also talked about the Indian pacers who are back in the team after injury.

Former Indian pace bowler thinks India should pick all-rounder Deepak Hooda in the playing XI in the upcoming T20 World Cup. Irfan Pathan thinks Deepak can be one of the pick of Indian team as he can give the sixth bowling option to the team. As India’s star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out of the Indian World Cup squad due to injury. Ravindra Jadeja has recently had his surgery after he sustained a knee injury during the Asia Cup 2022.

“I think Deepak Hooda will need to play from the first game because he is a sixth bowling option, something that you struggled for in the last World Cup. There will be a choice that they have to make between whether they want to play a left-hander in the middle order or Hooda, but I feel the latter will have odds in his favour,” said Irfan Pathan on Star Sports.
