Lionel Messi has continued his good form this season as he scored a beautiful goal in the game against Benfica. Paris Saint-Germain were up against Portuguese side Benfica FC on Wednesday night, 5th October in the UEFA Champions League. PSG stumble at Benfica as they couldn’t win the game despite a good performance.
PSG were playing an away game in the Champions League. However they weren’t playing like visitors as they were totally dominating the ball and creating some good chances. The scoreline didn’t do justice to the team (Paris Saint-Germain). Lionel Messi scored the opening goal of the game which was again because of a wonderful combination play between big three (Messi, Mbappe, and Neymar Jr). It was a great top corner finish from former Barcelona man.
An unfortunate own goal and PSG gave away the lead just before the half time. Central-defensive midfielder Danilo Pereira scored an own goal to give Benfica the equaliser they were looking for.
PSG tried hard to score in the second half but couldn’t do it and had to settle for a draw.
