Liverpool becomes the first team to beat Manchester City this season

Manchester City has been handed over their first defeat of the season when they faced Liverpool FC on Sunday night. The sunday night football couldn’t get much exciting as the old rivalry was full of thrill. Only a single goal were scored in this game and that was enough for the Reds to defeat defending champions City.

Manchester City dominated the possession as expected but the goals didn’t come which was expected too. In-form striker named Erling Haaland who is a leading scorer in the English Premier League this season couldn’t score a single one in this game. Manchester City did score in the second half where Foden made a good finish but the goal was later ruled out. VAR ruled out the goal as during the buildup play the Norwegian forward Erling Haaland made a foul on Brazilian midfielder Fabinho.

Manchester City’s right back Joao Cancelo made a mistake in the 75th minute which led to the first goal of the game scored by Mohamed Salah. The exquisite turn and finish from Salah helped Liverpool earn three points against the champion side. Manchester City are now 4 points behind league leaders Arsenal FC.
