Luka Modric guides Croatia to the Nations League finals

Croatian national football team won the game against Austria on Sunday night, 25th September to go to the finals of the UEFA Nations League (2022). The Croatian team played amazingly well in this tournament and thus deserved to be in the place they are currently.

Real Madrid’s star midfielder Luka Modric guides this team to the finals of the UEFA Nations League. On Sunday, Croatia was up against Ralf Rangnick’s Austria. The first goal of the game was scored by the captain itself i.e. Luka Modric in the 6th minute.  Three minutes later Austria equalised and they were back in the game.

First half only had two goals and the scoreline was tied at 1-1. After Livaja and former Liverpool FC’s central-defender Dejan Lovren scored goals in the second half, Croatia sealed the victory and a place in the finals of this season’s Nations League.

Croatia are on the very first position in their group with 13 points in 6 game they played. This was their 4th win in the Nations League. They also defeated world champions France this season.
