Manchester City thrash Sevilla in the first UCL game
English Premier League side Manchester City thrashed La Liga club Sevilla FC on Tuesday night, 6th September in the UEFA Champions League first group game. Sevilla FC and Manchester City are in the same group and Pep Guardiola’s men travelled to Spain for this game.
It was an amazing start to the Champions League season for Manchester City and Pep Guardiola as they won against Sevilla by 4-0. New striker Erling Haaland scored the opening goal of the game which was also his first for Man City in the Champions League. The first half was a decent one as City could score only 1 despite creating some good chances. Man City scored three in the second half, starting with Phil Foden’s wonderful goal in the 58th minute.
Erling Haaland completed his brace in the 67th minute before he was substituted by Pep Guardiola. Erling Haaland has already has 12 goals for Man City in just 7 games he played so far. This was a huge victory for Man City as it kicked off the season well for them. Manchester City will be hoping to win this year’s UCL.
