Manchester United vs Leeds postponed ahead of the Queen’s funeral

English Premier League has decided to postpone the game between Manchester United and Leeds United which was due to be played on Sunday, 18th September. The game will now be played in some other week, dates haven’t been decided yet. The game is being postponed ahead of the Queen’s funeral.

Last week, Queen Elizabeth was died and thus the Premier League games weren’t been conducted. The Premier League decided to postpone all the games and the teams will play the games in the next weekend as per the schedule. But, some games are being called off due to less police officers to inspect the game in the stadium.

Manchester United had their games scheduled against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park (Crystal Palace’s home ground) last weekend. There are speculations that some more games can be called off due to this reason. Manchester United will play their mid-week game against Sheriff in the UEFA Europa League. After the Europa League fixture, they will have a rest of more than two weeks to play against the defending champions Manchester City at Etihad stadium on 2nd October.
