Mohammad Shami replaces Jasprit Bumrah in the World Cup squad

Indian cricket team has added a replacement for Jasprit Bumrah who got injured ahead of the World Cup. Mohammad Shami has replaced the Indian pacer (Jasprit Bumrah) in the T20 World Cup squad. Jasprit Bumrah was ruled out a few days ago due to back injury and was put on hold until it was confirmed that he won’t be able to take part in the competition.

It was expected by the Indian fans that Mohammad Shami will be replacing Jasprit Bumrah as the pacer has a good experienced playing in blue jersey. Shami also revealed a few days before when he posted a video of him on Instagram flying to Australia. There were other options BCCI and selectors were looking on before adding Shami into the squad. The other options include Deepak Chahar, Mohammad Siraj, and also Shardul Thakur. However, Deepak Chahar got another injury, and Shardul Thakur was added in place of him in the reserves. So it was nearly confirmed that Shami is going to take place of injured Bumrah in the squad.

It will be interesting to see India will come up with which bowling line-up in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
