Namibia wins the first match of T20 World Cup against Sri Lanka

The T20 World Cup 2022 has started and the fans have witnessed a great game in Australia. As Sri Lanka and Namibia who are looking for the qualification into the groups of the T20 World Cup played against each other on Sunday morning, 16th October in the first game.

Namibia created history as the won the first game of T20 WC 2022 against Sri Lanka by 55 runs. The fans expecting a great tournament after this exciting first game. Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bowl first.

Sri Lankan bowlers did a good job in restricting Namibia for 163 runs. All the five bowlers bowled in this game for Sri Lanka took wickets. Sri Lankan batters didn’t support their bowlers well and got out on 108 runs in the first game of the T20 WC.

Skipper Dasun Shanaka scored the most runs for Sri Lanka in this game. However no batter could score more than 30 runs in the game and thus couldn’t find the victory.

This was a huge victory for Namibia in the game as they are looking to qualify for the T20 World Cup in the super 12.
