Neymar faces five-year jail-term request in corruption and fraud trial

There are some bad news for the Brazilian forward Neymar Jr’s fans as Spanish courts are thinking of asking for a two-year prison for him. As per Spanish prosecutors, when Neymar joined Barcelona back in 2013 from Brazilian club named Santos, there was a misconduct done by the player and also his family.
Not only the prosecutors have requested for a two-year prison but also asking the Brazilian forward (Neymar Jr.) for the payment of a €10 million fee. Neymar is also facing a five-year jail-term request from the prosecutors.
The DIS who had a hold on 40% of the rights to Neymar when he was playing at Santos has made a statement on Thursday.
“Neymar’s rights have not been sold to the highest bidder. There were clubs that offered up to €60m,” DIS lawyer Paulo Nasser said in a news conference in Barcelona on Thursday.
However, the Paris Saint-Germain’s forward has not yet reacted to this and reportedly will stand trial in this charges of corruption and fraud made on him by the Spanish prosecutors. Neymar’s family along with him, Rosell and Bartomeu will have a meeting on this next Friday as per some recent reports.
