Pep Guardiola praises Lisandro Martinez ahead of Manchester derby

Manchester United are set to play their first game of the Premier League after the International break. Manchester United had a really long break as they didn’t play some games due to Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral. Manchester United are set to face Manchester City in their first game after holidays.

The fans and the experts are waiting for the ‘Manchester Derby’ as it is one of the entertaining and one of the biggest derby ever played in  the Premier League. Manchester City’s manager Pep Guardiola is ready to take on United in their next fixture as he said at a press conference ahead of the game.

The former Barcelona manager (Pep Guardiola) has also talked about some United players. The name which he pointed out was Manchester United’s new defender Lisandro Martinez. Lisandro Martinez has been brilliant since he joined the team this summer. Manchester United haven’t lost a single game when Martinez and Varane started together in the game. Pep Guardiola likes Lisandro’s approach towards the game and also like his playing style. Pep praised Lisandro Martinez and said his height is really not concern as he still wins headers.

“He’s a fantastic player, aggressive, good build up. United paid this money, Erik [ten Hag] knows him. It’s not the first time he’s played against taller strikers, he handles it,” said Pep Guardiola ahead of the ‘Manchester Derby’ in a video posted on Manchester City’s official app.
