Premier League postpone Chelsea vs Liverpool due to lack of police officers
English Premier League has postponed second game of this weekend due to Queen’s funeral. Now, Chelsea vs Liverpool which was set to be played on 18th September, Sunday at Stamford Bridge (Chelsea’s home stadium). Earlier, Manchester United vs Leeds United got postponed which was also been scheduled to play on Sunday.
English Premier League has decided to postpone games ahead of the Queen’s funeral and due to lack of Police officers in the stadium. Many police officers have been told to be present at Queen’s funeral. There are also not many security cameras in the stadium and thus they have to make this decision ahead of this two big games.
This was Sunday’s big game clash (Chelsea vs Liverpool) which happens every week, where top teams play against each other. The fans will not be able to witness one of the blockbuster games this weekend as it has been officially postponed. This was going to be Graham Potter’s first game as Chelsea manager in the Premier League after he was announced last week by the club.
However, these two teams will be seen playing in the UEFA Champions League in the mid-week.
