Ravi Shastri not happy to see Mohammad Shami out of the Asia Cup squad
Former Indian cricket team coach Ravi Shastri has made a statement regarding India’s team selection in the ongoing Asia Cup 2022. Indian team is almost out of the tournament after they lost their second super 4 game on Tuesday, 6th September against Sri Lanka in Dubai International cricket stadium, Dubai.
Former Indian cricketer Ravi Shastri is not at all happy to see that one of the experienced Indian pacers named Mohammad Shami out of the team despite being fully fit. Mohammad Shami was in great form in blue jersey last year. Ravi Shastri wanted to see him playing the Asia Cup as he feels the experience of him would have helped India.
“I am completely amazed to see how Mohammed Shami has been sidelined by the current Indian team management and the selectors. The Indian bowling hasn’t looked that effective in this year’s Asia Cup and a veteran like Shami should have certainly made it to the squad,” said Ravi Shastri following India’s defeat to Sri Lanka as reported by Times Now.
Former cricketers Irfan Pathan, and Aakash Chopra were also unhappy about team’s selection of India in the game against Sri Lanka along with the bowling combinations Rohit went with against Sri Lanka.
