Reece James doubtful for FIFA World Cup due to injury

Chelsea’s right-back Reece James is set to be ruled out of the England’s World Cup squad due to his knee injury. Reece James is one of the best English right-backs currently and Gareth Southgate (England’s National football team manager) needed him for the upcoming FIFA World Cup.

The English International (Reece James) picked up an injury during the game against AC Milan in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday. Chelsea won the game by 2-0 but lost their one of the best defenders. As per the medical team reports, the right-back Reece James will be sidelined for ‘8 weeks’ due to his knee injury.

The World Cup is just a month away and three of England’s important right-backs have sustained injury namely Liverpool’s Trent-Alexander Arnold, Manchester City’s Kyle Walker, and Chelsea’s Reece James.

However the England team has not completely ruled out Reece James yet as they will be in touch with the medical team to see if there’s any possibility for him to comeback before the World Cup.

Recently in an interview Chelsea’s manager Graham Potter also called Reece James a future Chelsea FC legend and said he loves the player. But because of this injury the manager will have to pick somebody else for the role.
