Ronaldo & Sancho fire Man United to first Europa League victory

Manchester United were up against FC Sheriff on Thursday, 15th September in the Europa League. Manchester United won their first game of the season, thanks to Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo who puts United ahead in this game. After winning their first game, FC Sheriff failed to win in the second. This was Erik ten Hag’s first victory in the league as Manchester United’s manager.

Manchester United started the game a bit slow but slowly adapted to the pace Erik ten Hag wants. The first goal came in the 17th minute after a good gameplay in the midfield. Christian Eriksen found out a great pass to Jadon Sancho and he did no mistake in putting it back of the net. Manchester United did find the second goal in the second half.

This was scored by Cristiano Ronaldo from the penalty spot. A foul made on Diogo Dalot costs FC Sheriff another goal in the first half. This was Ronaldo’s first-ever goal in the UEFA Europa League in his very first season. With this victory, Manchester United registered their first three points of the season and currently staying at 2nd position in the group.
