T20 World Cup: Shardul Thakur replaces injured Deepak Chahar in the reserves
Indian cricket team have another bad news ahead of one of the biggest tournaments i.e. T20 World Cup. Indian cricket team has lost another pacer for the World Cup as the news from the center is Deepak Chahar is ruled out due to an ankle injury.
Deepak Chahar won’t be seen in the World Cup which is to be played in Australia. The CSK’s pacer was in the Indian cricket team’s reserves players list for this upcoming T20 World Cup but now will not travel to Australia. Another Indian pacer named Shardul Thakur has replaced him in the Indian team’s reserves. Shardul Thakur is so far a good choice by BCCI and selectors as per fans as the pacer got some experience bowling in T20Is for India.
Shardul Thakur also was selected in the recent ODI series between India and South Africa. Former CSK pace bowler had a decent performance in the series. It is a bad year for Chennai Super kings’ player (Deepak Chahar) as he didn’t play the IPL 2022 because of injury and then he got injured again ahead of the T20 World Cup. He was also picked up for the ODI series against South Africa but got ruled out due to injury. Washington Sundar then replaced Deepak in the squad for this 3 ODIs against South Africa.
