T20 World Cup: Which three Indian pacers could be in the starting XI against Pakistan

Indian cricket team will be playing the first game of the ongoing T20 World Cup against Pakistan on Sunday, 23rd October at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). The first game is the blockbuster as the old rivals meet each other. However there is still confusion in fans’ mind as they want to know which three pacers will India pick for this game in the starting XI.

Indian cricket team star pacer Jasprit Bumrah has already ruled out from the tournament due to back injury and thus Mohammad Shami has replaced him in the squad. But does this mean Mohammad Shami will be in the starting XI?

The Indian pacers present in the Indian World Cup 2022 squad is Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh, Harshal Patel, and Mohammad Shami. There are some pacers who are in the reserves list.

Among these four, India is likely to go with three pacers as they have all-rounder Hardik Pandya who can bowl as well. Mohammad Shami bowled a great over in the warm-up match against Australia on Monday, 17th October.

Arshdeep Singh had a decent performance for India in some recent series. Harshal Patel can bowl in death as well. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the highest wicket taker for India in the year 2022.

So, it is very difficult to choose between these players. But as per reports, India will likely to be going with the pacers named Bhuvneshwar Kumar who is a well experienced bowler and can bowl really well in the powerplay, Harshal Patel who is a great death bowler and bowled well in the recent warm-up game, and Mohammad Shami who has a good experience and has a great pace to bowl at death.

Arshdeep Singh can still be seen but due to lack of his experience and also this is his first World Cup, he could be kept out from the starting XI as long as these bowlers are doing well.
