The summer transfer window of the 2022/23 season has officially ended. It was a busy day at the office for many teams on the deadline day. 1st September 2022 was the last day and the last chance for the teams to bring in players. Teams like Chelsea FC, FC Barcelona, Nottingham Forest, Liverpool, etc were very busy on the summer transfer window deadline day (Thursday).
Top deals happened on the deadline day:
1. Aubameyang to Chelsea FC: Former Arsenal Striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang joined the rival team Chelsea FC on the deadline day. He joined the side from FC Barcelona. It is a two-year deal with an option to extend.
2. Marcos Alonso to Barcelona: Former Chelsea left-back Marcos Alonso has joined Barcelona as their striker came here (Aubameyang). Alonso was one of Barcelona’s priority signing for the left-back position.
3. Arthur Melo to Liverpool FC: Arthur Melo has joined the ‘Reds’ for this season. The deal is not permanent. Arthur will play for Liverpool on a season long-loan. Arthur Melo will be back in Juventus FC after the 2022/23 season.
4. Denis Zakaria to Chelsea FC: Juventus midfielder has joined Chelsea FC on loan with an option to buy after this season. The deal was unexpected and it happened at the last minute of the transfer window.
5. Antony to Manchester United: Antony’s deal happened a few days ago but was made official on the deadline day. Antony joined the ‘Red Devils’ on a permanent deal from Ajax until 2027.
6. Manuel Akanji to Manchester City: Akanji joined the Champion side from Borussia Dortmund on the deadline day. The fee for the defender was around £16.7 million.
