UEFA Nations League: England end their run with a thrilling 3-3 draw against Germany

England are officially out of the UEFA Nations League as the end their run with a draw against Germany. England were up against the 2014 World Champions Germany in the last group stage game of the UEFA Nations League on Monday night, 26th September. The was one of the most thrilling games played in the history of the league as it ended with a scoreline of 3-3.

No one would have predicted the game would be a 6 game thriller as it ended 0-0 in the first 45 minutes. The game was totally changed in the second half as the opening goal was scored by Gundogan from the penalty spot in the 52nd minute. After that Jai Havertz gave a 2-0 lead to Germany which wasn’t enough for them as England fought back and scored two in quick succession.

English left-back Luke Shaw scored the first goal for England and the second one was scored by Chelsea’s midfielder Mason Mount. England lead the game by 3-2 in the 83rd minute when Harry Kane scored a goal from the spot.

However Kai Havertz scored the equaliser in the 87th minute to earn a point in the game. It was a total entertainment in Wembley on Monday night.
