Venkatesh Iyer collapses on field; taken to the hospital

Indian cricket team’s all-rounder named Venkatesh Iyer collapsed on the ground when he was playing a game in the Duleep Trophy 2022. The incident happened on Friday, 16th September when Venkatesh Iyer was on the crease and West Zone’s player flinged  wild throw. The throw was made by the West Zone’s pace bowler named Chintan Gaja. He apologized immediately after the throw hit on Venkatesh’s neck. Chintan was bowling to Venkatesh and was hitting the stumps. The all-rounder in saving his wicket turned around to get back in crease in time, but ended up hurting himself.

Earlier, the players believed it wasn’t of much concern, but seeing Venkatesh collapsing on field and holding his neck, everyone came to see him along with the medical team. The medical team immediately indicated to the pavilion that they will need an ambulance.

The Ambulance arrived and Venkatesh Iyer was rushed to the hospital. The game was stopped for some minutes when this incident took place. The players and fans are hoping the Indian all-rounder discharges from the hospital fully fit and fine and also hoping it is not bigger than it looks.
