Virat Kohli and Rahul Dravid visit New Zealand dugout to congratulate Ajaz Patel for his historic achievement

Everyone who follows Indian cricket is well aware that Virat Kohli is one of the most competitive cricketers on the pitch. However, he is also the humblest and friendly person off it. On Saturday, he showed this side of his personality when he went to the New Zealand dressing room to congratulate Ajaz Patel on achieving a historic feat.

The 31-year-old left-arm spinner on day two of the second test match between India and New Zealand etched his name in the history of cricket forever. He picked up all ten wickets in the first inning to become the only third player in the game’s history to do so.

Ajaz bowled a spell of 47.5 overs in which he gave away just 119 runs and picked up ten wickets to bundle the Indian innings for 325 runs. Ravichandran Ashwin also admired his outstanding achievement, as he gave him a standing ovation when he removed Mohammad Siraj to claim his 10th scalp.

Later, Indian Skipper Virat Kohli and head coach Rahul Dravid visited him in the New Zealand dressing room to congratulate him for his historic achievement.

Ajaz has now joined the likes of Jim Lakers and Anil Kumble, the only two other bowlers to have achieved this feat in international cricket.
