Wasim Jaffer says Kohli is not too far from his next international century

There is a lot of buzz around the fact that Virat Kohli is due to hit an international century since 2019. He had gotten off to a good start even in recent matches but has not converted it into good scores. Still, cricket pundits like Wasim Jaffer, a former cricketer, believes that Kohli does not look out of touch at all.

After a controversial dismissal in the first inning, followed by an unfortunate chop on to stump in the second inning, the fans and critics’ wait for Kohli’s 72nd century continues. However, Wasim Jaffer believes otherwise and voicing his opinion; the veteran said to ESPNcrickinfo, “He might not have scored a hundred in more than two years, but he has never looked out of form. He has managed a 50+ score every now and then, but a century is not far away.”

It’s true that Kohli has never looked out of touch in recent times. And a century is not a fundamental parameter to judge someone who has 71 international hundred against his name. He has played some extraordinary innings reaching as far as eighty runs in an inning, and If he continues to play like this, he will soon have his 72nd international century as well.
